Winter Storm to bring Snow, ICE and Rain to area
A winter storm will bring snow, ice and rain to the area late Tuesday night into the day on Wednesday. While the final totals are uncertain at this time, we are expecting locations north of i78 will see all snow, while locations closer to the i95 corridor will see light snow and wintery mix before the change over.
Our first call snow totals are above, most of the i95 corridor will see around C-1″ of snow then periods of sleet before changing to rain. Also use extreme caution once we get into Tuesday nigh and wed as icy spots will be present.
The transition to a wintery mix and then to rain will likely occur rather quickly Wednesday morning in the costal plain and I-95 corridor. Even though snow and ice accumulation are expected to be light around I-95, the timing of the wintery mix will occur around the morning commute and could maximize travel impacts.
We have a parade
We expect colder weather to move in in time for our parade on Thursday, but when has a little cold stopped our city from celebrating! We will be LIVE at the parade on Thursday!
