Have a Great weekend!
It’s shaping up to be a hot and humid August weekend across the area with plenty of opportunities for outdoor plans — but keep an eye on the sky Saturday.
Saturday: Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine with temperatures climbing to around 90–91°F. Humidity will make it feel hotter. There is a 30% chance for a scattered shower or thunderstorm, mainly during the mid-to-late afternoon, roughly around 3–5 PM. Most locations will stay dry, but any storm that develops could produce a quick downpour and lightning. Saturday night will remain warm and muggy with lows around 72–73°F.
Sunday: The better outdoor day of the weekend. Look for mostly sunny skies and hot conditions, with temperatures around 91–93°F. No significant rain is currently expected. With the combination of sunshine, heat and humidity, anyone spending extended time outdoors should take breaks and stay hydrated. Sunday night turns mostly clear with temperatures falling to around 69–70°F.
